| Qualifying is conducted by allowing each racer to complete a single run of
up to 12 laps on any lane of their choosing. Their fastest time will be used for race
gridding. Race gridding will be
determined by qualifying times, with the fastest qualifier choosing the lane they wish to
run in. Subsequent qualifiers may choose their lane in descending order of qualifying.
In the event of more than four racers
competing in a single class, multiple heat races will be run with the winners of each heat
race advancing to the main. Lane choices for the heat races will be determined by
qualifying performance.
Heat races will be 7 minutes in length,
with the driver completing the most laps to be declared the winner. The main will be 15
minutes in length.
Scenic Hills Raceway has instituted Crash
and Burn rules.
A driver's third off requires a 10 second
stop-and-go penalty. The sixth off requires a 20 second penalty. Subsequent offs result in
a DNF for that driver.
Track marshals will be positioned at all
turns. They will be responsible for re-slotting the cars and notifying the race director
of the off.
Track marshals will notify the race
director when a driver has entered the stop-an-go penalty box. The race director will then
time and release the penalized driver.
Racers, not competing in the current
event are required to act as turn marshals during that race. |
